My year as Miss West Indies International 2016: Top 11 at national and a year of serving
I am so blessed to share this post with you as I celebrate my one year as Miss West Indies Intl 2016. Thank you so much for everyone who had supported me during my journey. You all have a special place in my heart. When I embarked into this journey I never thought that I would receive this amount of support and all the thing that I would do as Miss West Indies intl 2016. During my year I have had many appearances . I promote youth volunteerism and its benefits in our communities. I worked with dosomething.org , a non profit organization that gives many opportunities to young people while they offer scholarship yo students from age 13-26 who volunteer with us. I have also volunteered with United Way, Feed The Hungry, Pink Strydes, local hospital and pantries and so many more. One of my favorite thing was my visit in Haiti where I distributed toys and educated them about volunteering. I will continue my work not only a volunteer but as an advocate. My next plan is to create an app for young people in Haiti and other underprivileged countries where they can find volunteer opportunities. Thank you to my coach Tracey Jamison and my director Mary Richardson. I had the opportunity to share the stage with beautiful women from all over the world and states, I made top 11 and won the People Vote award. I am thankful for the support I had received from my mommy and daddy. I thank my Lord for allowing me to make a difference during my reign. I trust him and I believe that I will be making more moves. Thank you!!!!!!

I am so happy to announce that I am done with my preparation to Miss International 2016. I am extremely happy to have all of you cheering and supporting me. I want you all to know I really appreciate your support and your vote. Keep VOTING! You have the power to name me top 11th Keep volunteering! You will at least impact one person and that's all that matters. The same way the doctors from Doctors Without Borders embarked on a journey to volunteer in Haiti and years after saved my mom's life. That had such a great impact in our family and my life especially. My mom wouldn't be alive if it they were not here at this time. Please continue to volunteer, and if you haven't start now. It bring so much happiness and experience that I am sure you will enjoy it. Take one hour of your time to volunteer. You can visit DoSomething.org to volunteer anytime from anywhere. What Miss West Indies International has been up to?  I have been doing a lot. Let me share some with you . I weekly volunteer at my local hospital and volunteer at dosomething.org for 4-5 hrs a week and I also do other activities in my community.
December: trip in Haiti for toys distribution and workshop
January: volunteered at the Science Olympiad and my local nursing home
February: volunteered at the Painting street festival which awards scholarship to high school students with the sale of tickets.
March: volunteered at the Reagent Nursing Home.
April: volunteer at the Comcast Cares day.

There are a lot you can do with Dosomething.org this week.

Hello my supporters

I would take this moment to thank everyone who has been supporting me thus far. I have been working tirelessly to represent the West Indies at the international pageant and to bring the best on stage. I recently met with my coach Tracey who I have been working since October for national to choose my wardrobes, mock interview (very important part of the pageant system), and discussing about my week in Jacksonville in July 25-30. The preliminary will be on the 29th and finals on the 30th. I need all of you to vote for me to get to top 11th. I will be forever grateful. How wonderful we the people can choose the 11th queen to get called on stage by voting. Please vote for me to keep spreading awareness for volunteerism. Vote at https://www.miss-international.us/miss-international-pchoice-voting.php?id=1114Vote!!!!!!! Thank you!

A holiday well spent with smiling faces.
Hello to all my supporters! I am so sorry that I have not written any blog for the past few weeks. I am getting ready for the national pageant and it has been a lot of work but I promise to communicate more in the next weeks. I spent my holidays in Haiti giving back to the community I grew up in. I knew a founder of a middle school back while living in Haiti. We connected to organize a party for the kids in our community and to give them a holiday gift as part of our traditions. We have a tradition of giving gifts to kids on January 1st as a way of rewarding them for behaving well during the previous year and to encourage them to continue to do so this new year. As I knew in my community, not every parent has the money to treat their children so it was my way of giving to the less fortunate. I met with them, offered them a meal, and talked to them about volunteerism, its benefits and the impact it creates in our community. I also distributed toys. The children were so happy. I was glad I was able to give them something they can play with as the New Year comes. They ate and drank happily as they were playing with their new toys. I went home with a promise of giving a lot of toys to the founder for his students for this year holidays. I am so happy that I was able to make at least one child happy. We all can share our blessings with our community. Let us stand to serve our community and help the underprivileged. Impact our community through volunteerism. Thank you for all your support. Now, what will you do for those who are not as blessed as you? Will you follow my lead? Let's all do something to improve our community.

Pageant Judge

Hi everyone,

Welcome to my 2nd blog. I just judged a pageant for the first time. It was a pageant based on platform. The director wants to empower and encourage the women in her neighborhood to be more active. I felt much honored. I was able to connect with the girls. I was reminded that once you do the homework the judges will see it. If you don't work on your platform regularly, your interview will be very hard. Showing confidence, a beautiful smile, and promoting your platform are keys to success in pageantry. As a pageant contestant I got reminded that I need to spend time promoting my platform and to make it my full time job. Remember a winner doesn't need a crown. My third blog will be about how I spent my holiday. Happy new year everyone!!

Volunteerism

Hello everyone!
I am happy to announce that I am your new Miss West Indies International 2016. I want to thank everyone who has been supporting me throughout my journey since the beginning. My platform is
Youth Activism: Any Cause, Anytime, Anywhere. I have been volunteering with dosomething.org since 2013 and recently started volunteering twice a day in one of my local hospitals. I also do other volunteer activities. I am determined to promote my platform in our community and especially to encourage our youth. During my reign, I will be sharing my platform in schools, churches, and with every single person I meet. I believe that there are a lot of issues in our society that could be solved through volunteerism. I strongly encourage everyone to give back to his or her community. I hope that God will continue to guide and enlightened me. I will be sharing my platform and activities through my blog at least once a month. Please check out dosomething.org for volunteer opportunities. Be blessed.
